<p>Job Title: Health and Safety Specialist</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Environment Health & Safety Specialist provides technical environmental safety and health support to production and corporate personnel. This role involves developing corporate environmental safety and health programs and objectives, coordinating training programs, and monitoring regulations to ensure compliance with federal and state environmental safety and health standards.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide technical environmental safety and health support to production and corporate personnel. </li><li>Develop and implement corporate environmental safety and health programs and objectives. </li><li>Coordinate and conduct training programs related to environmental safety and health. </li><li>Monitor and ensure compliance with federal and state environmental safety and health regulations. </li><li>Engage proactively with production employees in a respectful manner. </li><li>Communicate effectively with leadership regarding both positive and concerning news. </li><li>Support an on-call schedule, being available for emergencies during off shifts or weekends. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Experience in safety, safety training, and health & safety in a manufacturing environment. </li><li>Minimum 3-5 years of experience performing safety functions in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Familiarity with operating and training personnel in powered industrial trucks, aerial lifts, and other material handling machinery. </li><li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience from an automotive environment is ideal. </li><li>Associate's degree minimum, providing a pathway to further certifications and roles. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The facility operates three shifts, and this role will primarily work the first shift from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm but must be available for on-call emergencies during off shifts or weekends.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
