We provide vital support during life's most challenging moments, helping individuals heal, grow, and thrive.</p> <p>We're Hiring!</p> <p>We are seeking an Advocate to join our team. This full-time position is responsible for providing direct services to victims including crisis counseling, advocacy, and support by delivering service that is trauma-informed, culturally competent, strength-based, and client directed.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Answer crisis lines and respond to crisis situations as well as provide information and referral services. </li><li>Provide advocacy and supportive counseling to victims and their families, both on the crisis line and face-to-face as requested by the client. </li><li>Perform daily review of cases and follow-up with Center staff and advocates to ensure that appropriate client follow-up is occurring as well as necessary documentation. </li><li>Facilitate Sexual Assault Survivor support groups. </li><li>Assist law enforcement with joint notification of victims as needed. </li><li>Provide legal advocacy by maintaining close contact with District Attorney's Office, Victim Witness Office, and all law enforcement agencies. </li><li>Provide information to sexual assault victims and their families regarding the legal system, Crime Victim's Compensation, and victim's rights. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Required: Associate degree or equivalent work experience. </li><li>Preferred: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Required: 0-3 years of experience working with sexual assault survivors or similar experience. </li></ul> <p>Skills, Competencies, and Other Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Strong interest in working with sexual assault victims or child abuse victims. </li><li>Clarity of expression in presenting both written and verbal material. </li><li>Commitment to the ethical treatment of clients. </li><li>Capacity to widen and deepen experience and considerable ability to observe critical differences and refine skills in practice. </li><li>Sexual Assault Center Advocates are required to maintain 30-minute response time to downtown Green Bay for on-call shifts. </li><li>Valid Wisconsin Driver's License with reliable personal vehicle.
