<p>Position Description</p> <p>Title: Machine Operator</p> <p>Department: LEMU</p> <p>Location: 291- Blythewood</p> <p>Immediate Supervisor: Manufacturing Manager</p> <p>Status: Hourly</p> <p>Position Description: The Lemu Machine Operator is responsible for performing work assigned in the manufacturing department according to the requirements of the process. They must work in a safe, productive, efficient, and quality-conscious manner on all tasks. The employee must be self-motivated, cooperative, and have excellent attendance. They must follow all work rules while performing job duties and utilize critical reasoning skills when solving problems that effect safety, quality, and productivity.</p> <p>Principle Accountabilities</p> <ul> <li>Actively participate in Blythewood Plant Safety Program. Successfully complete Company provided safety training. </li><li>Knowledge and practice of all safety procedures in the area </li><li>Operation of required material handling devices and proper handling of materials. </li><li>Operate machinery while monitoring material, equipment, and methods to ensure quality product is manufactured. </li><li>Knowledge of production specifications and follow work order schedules to ensure proper product specifications such as width, length, packaging and all other attributes controlled by the operation. </li><li>Change-over, start-up, monitor, and adjust operating conditions to maintain quality, production, and safety standards on the production equipment. </li><li>Perform routine maintenance, including but not limited to cleaning equipment, lubricating equipment, making adjustments, and fixing minor mechanical problems. </li><li>Produce product at an acceptable rate and required quality. </li><li>Package product at an acceptable rate and required quality. </li><li>Use measuring and weighting tools and devices accurately. </li><li>Related tasks as requested by Supervisor. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills and Experience</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or equivalent work experience with basic math, written and oral communication skills. </li><li>Minimum of two years manufacturing machine operator experience preferred. Experience operating converting equipment desired. Mechanically inclined for setup operation and troubleshooting preferred. </li><li>Demonstrates practical problem-solving abilities. Prioritizes work to focus on important problems/issues. </li><li>Communicates clearly and efficiently with other team members. </li><li>Ability and willingness to work with others as a team member. </li><li>Ability to understand and work with metric measures and volumes. </li><li>Ability to lift 50lbs., climb stairs, walk, and stand a significant part of the shift. </li><li>Ability to work in high-humidity and high-temperature environments. </li><li>Must be able to work any shift required, including overtime. </li><li>Must complete all required annual training to meet safety rules and OSHA regulations. </li><li>Participate on problem solving teams as required. </li></ul>
