<p>Connecticut Port Authority Summer Internship (Three Openings)</p> <p>Location: Old Saybrook, CT</p> <p>Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.</p> <p>Duration: Summer 2026</p> <p>The Connecticut Port Authority is seeking three (3) motivated summer interns to join our team in Old Saybrook. This is a hands-on, in-office internship with opportunities to participate in fieldwork along the Connecticut coast, supporting business engagement and community events. Interns will gain exposure to projects in maritime economic development, port infrastructure, supply chain and logistics, records management, and community outreach.</p> <p>About The Agency</p> <p>The Connecticut Port Authority is a quasi-public agency dedicated to marketing and coordinating the development of the state's ports and maritime economy. Our mission is to grow Connecticut's economy and create jobs by strategically investing in the state's three deepwater ports and small harbors to help each reach its full economic potential.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>As a summer intern, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Support the development and implementation of programs that enhance the Authority's presence across the state. </li><li>Assist in collecting and maintaining business, contact, and maritime economy data. </li><li>Perform administrative tasks to improve operational efficiency, including records management, facilities support, and communications. </li><li>Contribute to special projects and community events as needed. </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <p>We're looking for students who are:</p> <ul> <li>Currently enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate programs (preference for maritime-related studies). </li><li>Skilled in research and technology, including proficiency with Microsoft 365. </li><li>Flexible, proactive, and able to collaborate with internal staff, outside agencies, and vendors. </li><li>Strong communicators with excellent verbal and written skills. </li><li>Experienced in project coordination and problem-solving. </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us</p> <ul> <li>Exposure to maritime economic development and port operations. </li><li>Work directly with the Executive Director and key staff members. </li><li>Participate in community and industry events along the Connecticut coast. </li></ul> <p>The Connecticut Port Authority is an equal opportunity employer.
