<p>Utah Valley University is seeking a part-time Assistant Teacher to join the Wee Care Center, a supportive and inclusive environment dedicated to the care and early education of children. Under the direction of the Center's Director and Manager, the Assistant Teacher helps with the daily operations of the classroom, contributing to the teaching, supervision, and nurturing of children in a safe and developmentally appropriate setting. This role offers hands-on experience in early childhood education while supporting UVU families and playing a meaningful part in the growth and well-being of young learners.</p> <ul> <li>Provides supervision and maintains correct teacher to child ratios.  </li><li>Assists with teaching the developmentally appropriate education curriculum.  </li><li>Ensures the safety and needs of the children by maintaining a clean classroom. </li></ul> <p>High school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 6 months experience.</p> <p>Knowledge</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of public education, family studies, early childhood education and best practices.  </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Skills in general principles to specific conditions in child care.  </li></ul> <p>Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to follow oral and written procedures and instructions. </li><li>Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and backgrounds. </li><li>Ability to exercise effective interpersonal problem solving and decision making skills. </li></ul>
