<p>Job Title: Pharmacy Technician</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>As a pharmacy technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of a bustling local pharmacy. Your responsibilities will include communicating with doctor's offices and insurance companies, inputting electronic or hard copy prescriptions, filling prescriptions, manually processing prescription orders, and entering data into our systems.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Communicate effectively with doctors, insurance companies, and patients. </li><li>Input prescriptions accurately, whether electronic or hard copy. </li><li>Fill prescriptions promptly and efficiently. </li><li>Manually process prescription orders as needed. </li><li>Enter data accurately into the pharmacy's system. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Possession of a pharmacy technician license or certification is preferred. </li><li>Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, doctors, insurance representatives, and staff members. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities. </li><li>Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Experience with prior authorizations and healthcare or pharmacy support. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Proven expertise in order entry. </li><li>Strong customer service skills. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The work environment is dynamic and supportive, akin to being part of a family. You will be working in the closed-door section of a local pharmacy that has been open for 70 years, ensuring a busy and engaging workday. The pharmacy has 41 employees, including 5 pharmacists, and you will never work alone, as there is always someone on shift with you. The owner is actively involved in day-to-day operations. The pharmacy operates 7 days a week, offering flexible shifts with hours ranging from 9-5, 11-7, or 12-8. You will be required to work rotating weekends, and training hours are from 9-5 pm.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edison, NJ.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
