In this role, you will support a wide variety of projects involving fire protection system design, evaluation, and construction administration for both public and private sector clients throughout the region.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently. </li><li>Solutions Analysis: Interpret data and identify possible answers. Involves navigating a wide variety of processes, procedures, and precedents. </li><li>Applications Software Maintenance: Monitor, identify, and correct straightforward software defects to maintain fully functioning applications software. </li><li>Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media. </li><li>Operational Compliance: Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure. </li><li>Product and Solution Development: Carry out a range of product development and engineering activities. Use established systems to analyze customer needs and define and deliver products. </li><li>Design and Conceptualization: Research and interpret data, trends, and benchmarks relevant to digital products/services design. </li><li>Operating Machine or Equipment: Operate complex machines and systems, adjusting processes to optimize quality and productivity. Also responsible for generating solutions to complex inefficiencies. </li><li>Quality Assurance Testing: Carry out a specified range of complex tests; interpret test data to verify that specifications are met and/or to identify remedial actions required to ensure conformance. </li></ul> <p>What you will bring to the team:</p> <ul> <li>National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) certification in Water Based Fire Suppression </li><li>At least 8 years of experience in the fire protection industry </li><li>Expertise in design technology and processes, in particular with Revit & AutoCAD </li><li>Working knowledge of ICC codes and NFPA Standards </li><li>Knowledge, interpretation and application of relevant client, industry standards </li><li>Proven ability to build positive relationships across diverse teams and client groups </li><li>Robust written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely </li><li>A passion for design and innovation </li></ul> <p>Salary range: $30.00 - $50.00 based on experience & location</p> <p>#LI-JK1</p> <p>As a multicultural organization, we encourage individual achievement and recognize the strength of a diverse workforce.
