<p>Implement the Career Prep Curriculum Sequence and instruct students in accordance with curriculum standards and objectives.</p> <p>Are you ready for a new teaching career? PMI provides training and the curriculum to teach these courses!</p> <p>Curriculum Sequence:</p> <p>Study Skills | Anatomy, Physiology, and Terminology | Computer Basics | Math Fundamentals | CPR and First Aid</p> <p>Part-time evenings - Tuesday and Thursday 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Instruct students in foundation courses such as mathematics, computers, anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, study skills, and first aid. </li><li>Design and deliver individual lesson plans in one or more subjects using various teaching techniques appealing to different learning styles. </li><li>Plan instruction to achieve specific objectives based on student needs and the established curriculum. </li><li>Participate in student recruitment, registration, and placement activities. </li><li>Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, and papers within 72 hours. </li><li>Discuss academic or behavioral issues with students as they arise and alert the Assistant Dean of Faculty and Student Services Coordinator. </li><li>Maintain regularly scheduled face-to-face office hours to advise and assist students. </li><li>Supervise students' externships. </li><li>Regularly review and suggest changes through the established process course materials, such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts. </li><li>Participate in faculty meetings, advisory board meetings, in-service opportunities, graduations, workshops, and other campus and professional development opportunities. </li><li>Complete required documentation for individual student files, attendance and incident reports, early alerts, and other necessary records. </li><li>Arrange and coordinate guest speakers, community service field trips, and visits to clinics and medical offices. </li><li>May participate in the supervision of students' externship experience. </li><li>Enforce safety and security standards for students, staff, and visitors. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>CORE COMPETENCIES:</p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive knowledge of the subject matter </li><li>Planning and execution of appropriate learning experiences </li><li>Assess knowledge of students and plan remediation </li><li>Role model professionalism and a commitment to the profession </li><li>Create and foster an engaging learning environment </li><li>Administer effective assessments </li><li>Proficient verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Excel, PowerPoint, and computer skills </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>None </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Graduation from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council For Higher Accreditation (CHEA) in the specialty field or subject in which they teach or a minimum of three (3) years of job-related training and experience for instructors who are not graduates from an accredited program in the field in which they teach. </li><li>Three (3) years of occupational experience (i.e., practical) experience in the subject field they teach. </li><li>Knowledge of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology, documented by post-secondary education or job experience in the subject matter. </li><li>Any equivalent combination of training, education, or experience that meets the minimum qualifications. </li><li>Verbal and written communication skills. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Three (3) years of teaching experience in the subject field. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>None </li></ul> <p>COMPENSATION</p> <ul> <li>Hiring range: $23.73 - $29.66 per hour </li><li>Colorado Paid Sick/Leave and Public Health Emergency </li><li>Employee discount programs </li></ul>
