<p>General Description</p> <p>RE-ANNOUNCEMENT*</p> <ul> <li>This position is being re-announced due to a limited pool of candidates. </li></ul> <p>Previously submitted applications will remain under consideration.</p> <p>Prior applicants need not reapply.</p> <p>This is responsible seasonal work independently locating, marking, and painting cross walks, stop bars, flat islands, and other related street markings throughout the City of Madison. Work is performed during night time hours when supervision is not immediately available. Assignments are provided by Leadworkers and performed independently or as part of a crew with limited supervision.</p> <p>Duration: Approximately May 18, 2025 through mid-August</p> <p>Hours: This position works nights Sunday through Thursday from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM. Even if every item on the job posting doesn't match your experience perfectly, we encourage you to apply and share how your skills and experience can best serve our community.</p> <p>To learn more about seasonal opportunities, please view thisvideo.</p> <p>Examples of Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Locate, set up, and paint on-street marking sites, such as crosswalks, stop bars, and other markings as directed. </li><li>Operate a truck throughout the City as detailed on intersection maps and lists, while towing a trailer of necessary painting equipment. </li><li>Operate paint machine and associated equipment. </li><li>Set up and maintain on-street work safety zones. </li><li>Perform other related duties as required. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>All applicants will be considered for this position, but you must be 18 years of age or older at the start of employment.
