<p>SUMMARY</p> <p>The ideal candidate can expect to teach a variety of course offerings in Sign Language Certificate Program. A variety of teaching modalities are offered including online, blended, FLEX and in-person instruction. Experience teaching diverse students at various levels of college-preparedness and non-traditional students is highly desirable.</p> <ul> <li>AAS/BS with licensure and teaching experience </li><li>State Licensure: Illinois Deaf and Hard of Hearing Commission (IDHHC) BEI Certification (Interpreter) or EIPA Education Interpreter Performance Assessment </li><li>Current Professional Membership: Illinois Deaf and Hard of Hearing Commission (IDHHC) or Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or CAIRS </li><li>Teaching Experience 1- 2 years </li><li>Must successfully pass a criminal background check. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: </p> <ul> <li>Teaching experience 2-3 years with at least one year in Illinois.  </li><li>Demonstrate ability to use technology in the classroom.  </li></ul> <p>STATUS/SALARY: </p> <p>This is a part-time faculty position with salary to be determined by placement on the adjunct faculty salary schedule commensurate with education and experience. </p> <p>BEGINNING DATE:                   August 10, 2026 </p> <p>APPLICATION DEADLINE:       Until Filled</p> <p>APPLICATION PROCEDURE:   Submit letter of application, resume, and transcripts to: ssc.edu/jobs</p>
