We have three behavioral health units, cardiac telemetry, and critical care service lines. Our Haverhill campus offers all private rooms, and our Methuen campus offers a new state-of-the-art catheterization suite and Joint Center of Excellence, named as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction+ Center for Knee and Hip Replacement.</p> <p>Position Summary: Phlebotomist</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Performs venipunctures and skin punctures competently and expediently. Has thorough knowledge of test requirements, assists in the Clinical Laboratory as needed. Responsibilities include collection of blood cultures and blood samples; inventory control; office.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Performs specimen collection. </li><li>Completes duties in a time-efficient manner, knows how to prioritize STAT orders using the STAT priority protocol, urgent orders, scheduled orders and outpatients. Performs all office functions. </li><li>Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/ healthcare errors. </li><li>Labels record time and initials on all test tubes, tests via LIS, and file paperwork as needed. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Education: HS Graduate or equivalent </li><li>Certification/Licensure: Successful completion of phlebotomy training program with internship. </li><li>Other: 1 year experience preferred. </li></ul>
