Step 1: Written/Video Test</p> <p>You'll be invited to complete a written and video-based exam.</p> <p>To move forward, you must score at least 70% in each section.</p> <p>Step 2: Physical Fitness Test</p> <p>You'll complete the following during our hiring process:</p> <ul> <li> <p>1.5-mile run in 17 minutes or less</p> </li><li> <p>Plank hold for 30 seconds</p> </li><li> <p>10 push-ups (no rest breaks)</p> </li></ul> <p>At POST, you'll also need to pass the Entrance Physical Fitness Test:</p> <ul> <li> <p>1.5-mile run: 16:11 or faster</p> </li><li> <p>Vertical jump: 14.5 inches</p> </li><li> <p>Plank: 30 seconds</p> </li><li> <p>Push-ups: 14 minimum, no rest allowed</p> </li></ul> <p>Step 3: Oral Interview</p> <p>Top candidates who pass both tests will be invited for an in-person oral interview with our hiring panel.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <p>As a Deputy Sheriff - Corrections, you'll support the safety and security of inmates at the Utah County Security Center.
