<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>About the Role & Program</p> <p>Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) is the master planning, creative development, design, engineering, production, project management, and research arm of The Walt Disney Company's (TWDC) Parks and Resorts business segment. Join us to be part of a supportive environment where your ideas and efforts make a real difference.</p> <p>We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy IT Intern to join our dynamic IT team. This internship offers hands-on experience in systems administration, networking, and cybersecurity. You'll work closely with experienced professionals and gain exposure to real-world IT environments, tools, and challenges.</p> <ul> <li>Assist in configuring and maintaining Windows Server and Linux environments. </li><li>Support virtual machine (VM) setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting. </li><li>Utilize PowerShell and command-line tools for automation and diagnostics. </li><li>Help monitor and enforce security measures including firewalls and access controls. </li><li>Collaborate with IT staff and communicate effectively with non-technical users. </li><li>Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues. </li><li>Document technical procedures and solutions. </li></ul> <p>Requirements and Skills</p> <ul> <li>Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). </li><li>Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux operating systems. </li><li>Experience or coursework involving virtual machines and virtualization platforms. </li><li>Proficiency with PowerShell or other command-line interfaces. </li><li>Awareness of IT security principles including firewalls and access control. </li><li>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. </li><li>Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal. </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Previous internship or project experience in IT support or system administration </li></ul> <p>Required Education</p> <ul> <li>Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher in an accredited college/university, earning a degree majoring in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or comparable field of study </li></ul> <p>Eligibility Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Must be at least 18 years of age </li><li>Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship </li><li>Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program. </li><li>Must possess unrestricted work authorization </li><li>Must provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Orlando, FL area </li><li>Must have reliable transportation to/from work </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <ul> <li>The approximate dates of this internship are August/September 2025 through December 2025 </li><li>The rate of pay for this internship is $40/hour </li></ul> <p>Florida Housing</p> <p>We provide limited housing opportunities for Florida Based Professional Interns through American Campus Communities, for more information click here.</p> <p>The pay rate for this role in Orlando, FL is $40 per hour.
