<p>Position Overview</p> <p>The Manufacturing Technician performs complex or specialized</p> <p>technical assignments, often project-based, requiring the ability to work</p> <p>independently. This role may involve designing, developing, maintaining</p> <p>or modifying manufacturing equipment, materials, systems and products. The</p> <p>technician uses sound judgment, a high degree of initiative, creativity in</p> <p>solving, and must adapt to rapidly shifting priorities in a fast-paced</p> <p>environment. The Manufacturing Technician sets up and maintains equipment to</p> <p>required standards and makes recommendations for continuous improvement of</p> <p>manufacturing methods in partnership with Manufacturing Engineering.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions</p> <ul> <li>Supports development and manufacturing teams by testing specific aspects of products, processes, or equipment to meet defined requirements and timelines. </li><li>Troubleshoots and resolves equipment issues requiring hands-on experience and technical interpretation of procedures and practices. </li><li>Masters the processes and procedures used to build company products, and is qualified to train new employees (including assemblers, technicians, engineers). </li><li>Demonstrates ingenuity, creativity and a high degree of independent action and initiative. </li><li>Communicates effectively with team members and multi-functional partners to ensure the highest quality products, processes, or equipment to meet identified needs. </li><li>Supplies ideas and solutions to improve processes and equipment. </li><li>Analyzes data to identify trends and isolate cause-effect relationships; reports findings and presents progress and plans to engineers and/or management. </li><li>Provides support data for Engineers during qualification and validation studies. </li><li>Plans and organizes project assignments of substantial variety and complexity; initiates or maintains work schedules and project milestones; establishes priorities. </li><li>Facilitates meetings and training sessions on procedures and processes for all levels of technical personnel, including engineers. </li><li>Must be available to support production on Saturdays, as needed. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma required with a minimum of 1 year experience as a manufacturing technician (or relevant experience) in the medical device industry or with 3 years' other relevant hands on medical device experience. </li><li>Knowledge of and compliance with applicable Quality System requirements such as QSRs, FDA, ISO, MDD and other relevant regulations. </li><li>Understanding of and experience with 5S, Lean, and waste reduction in manufacturing. </li><li>Experience in equipment preventive maintenance and/or calibration is a plus. </li><li>Knowledge of PLC's, pneumatic systems, and electrical systems. </li><li>Experience in manufacturing processes, systems, and process/product development. </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. </li><li>Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively, showing flexibility to adapt to changing requirements. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour workday) </li><li>May be required to lift objects up to 25lbs or more. </li><li>Must be able to work in an air-conditioned office as well as a non-temperature controlled warehouse environment as needed. </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract position based out of Santa Clara, CA.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
