<p>Overview</p> <p>VTG is seeking a talented and experienced Data Scientist to join our dynamic and innovative team in Herndon, VA/Chantilly, VA.</p> <p>What will you do?</p> <ul> <li> <p>Collect, clean, and analyze large, complex datasets from multiple sources.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and implement statistical models, predictive analytics, and machine learning algorithms.</p> </li><li> <p>Design experiments and evaluate models to ensure accuracy, reliability, and scalability.</p> </li><li> <p>Translate data-driven findings into clear business insights and recommendations.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, business stakeholders) to identify opportunities for data solutions.</p> </li><li> <p>Create dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to effectively communicate results.</p> </li><li> <p>Stay up to date on industry trends, tools, and best practices in data science and AI/ML.</p> </li></ul> <p>Do you have what it takes?</p> <ul> <li>Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field. </li></ul> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph </li><li>BS in a quantitative field (mathematics, data science, statistics) </li><li>At least 3 years of demonstrated experience directly relevant to analytics, quantitative analysis, data science, artificial intelligence or machine learning </li><li>Proficiency with tools such as Postgresql/SQL, Python, R, and GitLab </li><li>Demonstrated experience with producing analytic insights from large scale data. </li><li>Demonstrated experience with quantitative analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling. </li><li>Experience conveying complex data science insights to non-technical audiences </li><li>Specific experience with the Palantir Foundry/Gotham suite of tools </li></ul> <p>Desired:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with telecommunications metadata and content analysis </li><li>Experience exploiting or deriving insights from SIGINT, computer network exploitation, or other technical collection </li><li>Prior counterintelligence experience </li><li>Specific interest in or experience with technical surveillance </li></ul> <p>This position is open for current and future openings.</p>
