<p>Company Overview</p> <p>Bridgestone Americas, Inc. Bridgestone and its subsidiaries develop, manufacture and market a wide range of Bridgestone, Firestone and associate brand products and solutions to address the needs of a broad range of customers and industries.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position requires a valid driver's license. The individual who fills this position will be required to service bus tires already removed from the bus. Support in the delivery of tires to other service locations as needed. Consideration will be made for a primary delivery role with tire service support.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>GENERAL SERVICE</p> <ul> <li>Mounting, balancing, rotating, and repairing Bus Tires. </li><li>Tire Delivery in company provided truck. </li><li>Maintain tools and equipment in efficient operating conditions. </li><li>Unload and load tire and related items from trucks as required. </li><li>Keep the work area clean and clear of all debris to ensure a safe work environment. </li><li>Attend meetings held by Field Supervisor. </li><li>Process all necessary paperwork on time. </li><li>Observe all safety rules and procedures associated with the performance of duties. </li><li>Use personal protective equipment according to regulations and policies. </li><li>Any other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OCCUPATIONAL DEMANDS:</p> <ul> <li>The environment is primarily inside in a controlled environment. very hot during the summer months and cold during winter. </li><li>Exposure to various chemicals used in cleaning, lubrication, etc. </li><li>Frequent bending, twisting and lifting over 50 pounds regularly. </li><li>100+ pounds of pressure when pushing tires. </li><li>Repetitive and sustained exertions, forceful exertions, awkward postures, mechanical stress concentrations, vibrations. </li></ul> <p>NATURE OF DECISION-MAKING:</p> <ul> <li>Types of repairs necessary. </li><li>Material to best complete the service work requested. </li><li>Determine if replacement or repair is needed. </li></ul> <p>ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:</p> <ul> <li>To progress to Tire Technician 2, the following is required: </li><li>TIA level 2 certification (the U.S. only) within the first 2 weeks of employment. </li><li>TIA level 3 certification within 2 years from the date of hire. </li><li>1-2 years applicable experience as Tire Technician 1 proficiency level. </li><li>Satisfactory work, safety, and attendance record. </li></ul> <p>Relevant experience and education required</p>
