<p>Job Title: Security Specialist</p> <p>Location: Hill AFB, UT. - (On-Site)</p> <p>Canvas provides engineering services and technical solutions for customers in federal and commercial markets. manner.</p> <p>Duties:</p> <p>Duties will include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Implement, enforce, and update DoD, USAF, MAJCOM, and Center security policies and procedures, including local SOPs, for the classification, safeguarding, and control of classified and controlled unclassified information (CUI). </li><li>Review, process, classify, and declassify inbound/outbound documents and data (up to Top Secret), ensuring proper marking, handling, and destruction, and conduct classification reviews. </li><li>Maintain a comprehensive document accountability system, perform inventories, process transmittal receipts, and manage the secure transfer/storage of electronic data, ensuring media sanitization. </li><li>Manage facility access control systems, including badges, visitor escorts, and visit requests, verifying clearances and need-to-know. </li><li>Maintain personnel security files, assist with clearance processing and reinvestigations, monitor clearance status, report security violations, and facilitate SAP Nomination Questionnaires. </li><li>Conduct security awareness training, provide refresher training, develop awareness materials, and implement OPSEC measures. </li><li>Respond to security incidents, conduct preliminary investigations, assist with corrective actions, and participate in damage assessments. </li><li>Support internal and external security inspections and audits, assist with responses, and ensure compliance with all regulations. </li><li>Conduct risk assessments, develop and implement mitigation strategies, and monitor/maintain physical security measures (alarms, surveillance). </li><li>Participate in emergency response drills and implement emergency procedures. </li><li>Assist with the administration of security systems (access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance) and troubleshoot issues. </li><li>Enforce information security policies, monitor network activity, and participate in the organization's insider threat program. </li><li>Assist in the development/implementation of security plans and continuous monitoring programs. </li><li>Maintain a clean work environment, perform assigned duties, and troubleshoot security systems. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor degree. </li><li>3-10 years of related security experience. </li><li>Knowledge of Security Regulations and Policies: Deep understanding of DoD, USAF, and other relevant security regulations, policies, and procedures. </li><li>Classification Management: Ability to properly classify, declassify, and safeguard information according to established guidelines. </li><li>Document Control: Expertise in managing and tracking classified documents, including maintaining accountability systems. </li><li>Access Control: Proficiency in managing access control systems, verifying clearances, and processing visit requests. </li><li>Personnel Security: Skill in maintaining personnel security files and assisting with clearance processing. </li><li>Security Awareness Training: Ability to develop and deliver effective security awareness training programs. </li><li>Incident Response: Skill in responding to security incidents, conducting investigations, and implementing corrective actions. </li><li>Risk Management: Ability to identify and assess security risks and develop mitigation strategies. </li><li>Physical Security: Knowledge of physical security measures and the ability to monitor and maintain them. </li><li>Information Security: Understanding of information security principles and the ability to enforce related policies. </li><li>OPSEC: Knowledge of Operations Security principles and the ability to implement OPSEC measures. </li><li>Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate security policies and procedures clearly. </li><li>Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance. </li><li>Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve security-related problems. </li><li>Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze security risks and vulnerabilities. </li><li>Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. </li><li>Computer Skills: Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including security databases and applications. </li><li>Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. </li><li>Integrity and Trustworthiness: Unquestionable integrity and trustworthiness due to the sensitive nature of the information handled. </li><li>Knowledge of Security Systems: Familiarity with security systems such as access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance. </li><li>Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing security requirements and technologies. </li><li>Knowledge of Insider Threat Programs: Ability to identify and report potential insider threats. </li></ul> <p>Security Clearance:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret/SCI clearance. </li></ul> <p>Desired Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's, Related Security Certificates. </li><li>5 years of related security experience. </li></ul> <p>Other Essential Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Must be willing to travel up to 5% of the
