This position will work 5 days a week. MCC hours are from 8am-5pm Monday-Thursday and 8am-4pm Friday.</p> <p>Hours per Week: 40</p> <p>About the Role</p> <p>We are seeking a Licensed Mental Health Outpatient Therapist to join our growing team. This position focuses on outpatient care and plays a vital role in improving access to behavioral health services for the Jasper and surrounding communities. As a licensed therapist, you will play a critical role in continuing the healing mission of Deaconess Memorial. This position delivers quality individual, family, and group counseling services to patients and their families to determine short-term and long-term treatment needs, as well as meet the patient's social, emotional and psychological needs.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform comprehensive intake evaluations, which may include the skilled use of a variety of culturally sensitive mental health assessment tools. </li><li>Develop individualized treatment plans, as well as updates/modifies as appropriate. </li><li>Conducts individual, family, and group counseling services which incorporate evidence-based treatment modalities. </li><li>As needed, performs crisis de-escalation and intervention services in collaboration with appropriate community resources. </li><li>Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care. </li><li>Educate patients and families on mental health conditions. </li><li>Demonstrates sound clinical judgment in diagnosis and treatment planning and the application of culturally sensitive treatment modalities to diverse patients. </li><li>Adheres to and demonstrates ethically sound clinical decision-making in accordance with established mental health ethics codes and practices within the boundaries of their competence. </li><li>Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). </li><li>Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical best practices and regulatory standards. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in social work or related field, and licensure in the state of Indiana. </li><li>Experience in outpatient psychiatric setting preferred; </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to compassionate care. </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <p>We pride ourselves on retaining our top talent by offering work environments that support professional development and personal success.
