<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Evening Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Come join the Patient Access team at Saint Mary's Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England!!</p> <p>ORIENTATION REQUIRES A FEW DAY SHIFTS</p> <p>Position Purpose</p> <p>The Patient Access Representative is responsible for pre-registration, registration and admission functions in the Emergency Department at Saint Mary's Hospital</p> <p>What you will do</p> <ul> <li> <p>Register patients in the Emergency Department</p> </li><li> <p>Performs complete and accurate pre-registrations, registration, and admission functions</p> </li><li> <p>Verifies insurance requirements, obtains and understands insurance benefits</p> </li><li> <p>Secure signatures and all other key information needed to complete billing and collection functions</p> </li><li> <p>Collect or arrange for co-insurance and/or other deposit payment amounts</p> </li><li> <p>Refer self-pay patients to financial counselors; answers patient questions</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure a customer friendly environment between Saint Mary's Hospital and patients, visitors, and physicians upon initial contact</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, college preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Medical terminology skills</p> </li><li> <p>Relevant medical office, hospital / physicians billing or patient registration experience preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>Position Highlights and Benefits</p> <ul> <li> <p>Full time 32hrs - 3-11:30p every other weekend and 3 weekday evenings a week Shift and Weekend Differentials apply.</p> </li><li> <p>ORIENTATION/TRAINING IS ON DAY SHIFT</p> </li><li> <p>Great Benefits and Health Insurance - Starting Day 1</p> </li></ul> <p>Ministry/Facility Information</p> <p>Saint Mary's Hospital is a Catholic, not-for-profit, community teaching hospital that has been serving patients in Waterbury, CT and our surrounding communities since 1909.
