Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Successful completion of requirements for graduation from an approved school of Radiologic Technology </li><li>NJ state licensure </li><li>ARRT Certification </li><li>BLS through American Heart Association </li></ul> <p>Scheduling Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Evening Shift </li><li>Per-diem </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Addresses patient and medical staff concerns </li><li>Adjusts technical factors in proportion to patient and body part being examined, while minimizing radiation </li><li>Assists in the movement of patients to and from wheelchairs, stretchers and radiographic tables </li><li>Assists in the orientation of department and hospital personnel, as appropriate </li><li>Assists physicians in the administration of contrast materials required for procedures </li><li>Checks equipment, supplies and accessories on a regular basis </li><li>Checks requisition for physician notations and/or special instructions </li><li>Completes all paperwork and computer entries as required </li><li>Complies with all regulatory and accrediting standards </li><li>Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation, I. D. band, etc </li><li>Consults with supervision, radiologist and/or other physician regarding examinations as necessary </li><li>Demonstaertes complete working knowledge of all radiographic equipment within the department </li><li>Demonstrates correct and adequate positioning skills </li><li>Develops/processes exposed film and reloads cassettes with unexposed film, returns cassettes to proper locations </li><li>Participates in the teaching/preparation of patients/families, as appropriate and according to age-specific guidelines </li><li>Performs Maxifile/FIS functions as appropriate, including procedure completion and charge capture </li><li>Performs and/or assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures </li><li>Performs all routine radiographic procedures and views according to department procedure manual </li><li>Performs surgical and portable examinations as assigned </li><li>Performs visual checks on equipment and reports findings to appropriate personnel </li><li>Reviews exposed radiographs for proper positioning, technique, and identification </li></ul> <p>RWJBarnabas Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer</p>
