<p>Department/Unit:</p> <p>Medical/Surgical Cardiac Hospitalist - D4N</p> <p>Work Shift:</p> <p>Day (United States of America)</p> <p>Salary Range:</p> <p>$37,440.00 - $48,672.00</p> <p>The Administrative Support Associate's V/Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) Manager Support role is to perform customer service, clerical and reception duties that support the workflow of the D4N nurse manager, the unit, and the delivery of patient care. The clerical activities include ensuring accurate record keeping, workday ordering, staffing, and utilization of clinical information systems.</p> <p>The customer service duties include effective communication with patients, significant others, members of the health care team, and the organization.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <ul> <li>Managing nurse manager's schedule </li><li>Adding interviews and meetings to schedule </li><li>Scheduling Interviews and creating interview packets </li><li>Make sure music is working overhead throughout the unit </li><li>Collecting Unit's mail </li><li>Assisting to check Code Cart Daily Checklist Sheet </li><li>Monitoring daily staffing sheets. </li><li>Check refrigerator labels/ fridge stickers weekly </li><li>Check temperature on Fridge/Freezer daily & record </li><li>Schedule all 3-3-3 for new staff </li><li>Create new hire folders/binders </li><li>Maintain Staff mailboxes </li><li>Maintain staff files </li><li>Remind staff about annual reviews, employee health visits, and required certifications. </li><li>Assist with bringing broken equipment to clinical engineering. </li><li>Report any telecommunication issues </li><li>Order food for Nutrition Room and put it away once delivered </li><li>Assist with tracking, monitoring unit supplies </li><li>Assist with scheduling requests </li><li>Promote a positive workplace environment </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School Graduate or equivalent plus at least 2 years applicable experience, or Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree with 1-year applicable experience or combination of some college and 1-year experience </li><li>Working knowledge of computer-based application and strong PC/keyboard skills. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to use sound judgment in decision making. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated time management skills. </li><li>Ability to handle high workload volume. </li><li>Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal. </li><li>Ability to be flexible and demonstrated ability to be adaptable. </li></ul> <p>Thank you for your interest in Albany Medical Center!</p> <p>Albany Medical is an equal opportunity employer.</p> <p>This role may require access to information considered sensitive to Albany Medical Center, its patients, affiliates, and partners, including but not limited to HIPAA Protected Health Information and other information regulated by Federal and New York State statutes.
