How will you power what's possible?</p> <p>Location: General Services</p> <p>Shift: 7a-3p M-F</p> <p>Pay Rate: $41.57 - $43.92</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Industrial Wastewater Treatment Operator General Services, Carrollton GA</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Operation of the ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma) system and laboratory generation of standards for ICP calibration.</p> <p>A range of laboratory testing to maintain consistent parameter concentrations required by the NPDES discharge permit.</p> <p>Additional RCRA compliance and ISO certification support work will also be integrated into the role once the position is filled.</p> <p>Responsibility of the Water Plant Operator is the daily operation and maintenance of the water treatment plant.</p> <ol> <li> <p>Production of the discharge water that meets applicable effluent limits as stated by current NPDES Permit.</p> </li><li> <p>Production of quality make up water for use in the plant production processes</p> </li><li> <p>Operate and perform maintenance on all equipment in area of responsibility</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure proper supply and adequate inventory is on hand at all times</p> </li><li> <p>Consistently meet permit requirements for copper, TSS and pH for discharge</p> </li><li> <p>Document daily operating conditions and record readings in the appropriate computer system and investigate irregularities</p> </li><li> <p>Collect Samples required for daily analysis & ensure that all containers are properly labeled and maintain equipment in proper working conditions</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain an up to date Safety Data Sheet Book and ensure all activities are adequately annotated properly for compliance purposes</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain, order and inventory chemicals required for production processess.</p> </li><li> <p>May be required to work weekends or holidays as needed</p> </li></ol> <p>Education Requirements</p> <ol> <li>High School Diploma or GED with Chemistry and math, or previous lab experience is desired </li></ol> <p>Experience Required</p> <ol> <li> <p>A strong aptitude for chemistry and extensive experience in a laboratory setting are highly preferred. Critical thought in support of collaborative problem solving from both a chemical as well as mechanical standpoint will be a plus.
