<p>The North Carolina Office of the State Auditor (OSA) is seeking a Public Relations Specialist. This position will be involved with crafting the external and internal communications for OSA, with a heavy focus on public relations and social media content creation. </p> <p>OSA is the state's Fiscal Watchdog. Visit www.studentaid.gov to learn more.</p> <p>As part of our team, you will get to: </p> <ul> <li>Create and manage a structured, goal oriented social media strategy for all OSA social media accounts </li><li>Work with OSA's Communications Team on messaging and content creation for social media and digital communications </li><li>Provide constituents and stakeholders with timely, engaging, and informative content that illustrates the work being done by OSA staff, through the use of public relations skills </li><li>Frequently use cellphone cameras, digital cameras, microphones, and other digital technology equipment </li><li>Documented knowledge of communication, public relations, and/or publication principles and practices </li><li>Strong social media skills and the ability to think creatively about how to best engage with audiences online </li><li>Ability to effectively manage multiple social media accounts </li><li>Familiarity with digital equipment including cellphone cameras, digital cameras, microphones, and additional equipment </li></ul> <p>Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, public affairs, journalism, English, or related field from an appropriately accredited institution</p> <p>OR</p> <p> An equivalent combination of education and experience</p> <ul> <li> <p>The Office of the State Auditor uses the Merit-Based Recruitment & Selection Plan to fill positions subject to the State Human Resources Act (SHRA) with highly qualified individuals.</p> </li><li> <p>In order to receive credit for work history and credential you must complete the online application completely.
