This position will require some travel to other locations as needed. Must have a current and active Secret clearance.</p> <p>How the Network Technician/FSR will make an impact:</p> <ul> <li>Maintains smooth operation of local area, worldwide, and virtual private networks (VPN). </li><li>Plans, evaluates, designs, and coordinates installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network. </li><li>Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, Cisco switches, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, Windows servers 2008 / 2012. WIN 7, WIN 10 OS, SQL and REDHAT etc. </li><li>May propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings. </li><li>Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions. </li><li>Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems. </li><li>May coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment. May design network or portion of network that includes selection and recommendation of hardware and software packages. </li></ul> <p>What you'll need to be successful:</p> <ul> <li>Must have a current and active Secret clearance </li><li>Network analysis experience - BS and 5 years of experience - Will also consider other years of education, certification and experience in lieu of degree </li><li>IAT Level II (Security+ or equivalent certification) </li><li>Must be able read and understand schematics and designs. </li><li>Knowledge of low voltage hardware desired. </li><li>Experience with using Hand and Power Tools desired </li><li>Must live 1 hour drive from Fort Campbell, KY </li><li>Must be able to travel 75% around Fort Campbell and larger install missions anywhere in the US. </li></ul> <p>#GDITPriority</p> <p>#CECOMWFS</p> <p>#GDITArmy</p> <p>The likely salary range for this position is $65,250 - $82,800. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
