<p>Location: Trillium Place</p> <p>CURRENT OPENING:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Full-time (EXEMPT)</p> </li><li> <p>Part of a staffing on-call rotation</p> </li></ul> <p>The Infection Preventionist is responsible for Infection Prevention and Control Program, which controls the spread of infections and/or outbreaks. This position will be performed in accordance with TANDEM LIVING Core Values, Mission Statement, and regulations.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Holds a current Pennsylvania license to practice as a Registered Nurse; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Possesses 3-5 years of experience as an RN in a long-term care setting; nursing management experience preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Teaching and training experience preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Required to obtain and/or maintain Infection Preventionist Certification.</p> </li><li> <p>Required to obtain and/or maintain Train-the-Trainer Certification for Medication Technician training.</p> </li></ul> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Identifies and appropriately responds to significant changes in a resident's condition; takes a leadership role during emergencies.</p> </li><li> <p>Develops and implements effective prevention policies, procedures, and staff training programs; conducts an annual review for updates and compliance.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors trends and ensures regulatory reporting of influenza and other reportable outbreaks.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversees all aspects of the program, including planning, organizing, implementation, operation, monitoring, and maintenance.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts antibiotic reviews by completing monthly tracking and trending reports, and analyzes data to ensure appropriate antibiotic use within the facility.</p> </li></ul> <p>BENEFITS:</p> <p>At TANDEM LIVING we value the wellbeing of our team members and offer competitive wages and a comprehensive benefit package!
