<p>Anticipated Opening: District LDTC for the 2025-2026 School Year (2 positions) JobID: 1309</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Student Support Services/LD/Teacher Consultant</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>3/19/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>District</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>2025-2026 school year</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>Until Filled</p> <p>&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>The North Plainfield School District, a culturally diverse school district in Somerset County serving 3,700 students Pre-K through grade 12, seeks a dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative professional for the position of LDTC for the District.</p> <p>Qualifications Include:</p> <ul> <li>New Jersey Educational Services Certificate and Learning Disabilities Teacher - Consultant Endorsement </li><li>Knowledge of laws and regulations governing special education and successful experience working with exceptional children </li><li>Demonstrates ability to effectively assess children's learning characteristics, design appropriate instructional strategies, and plan educational programs </li><li>Three years of teaching experience. </li><li>Autism/ABA, Life Skills (MD), ED/BD experience helpful </li><li>Participates in the evaluation, classification, and placement of all pupils with special needs. </li><li>Assesses academic proficiency and learning characteristics of each pupil referred to the child study team for evaluation and interprets the findings in written reports and informal conferences. </li><li>Evaluates and interprets educational testing results. </li><li>Develops a detailed educational plan based upon student need. </li></ul> <p>Duties include but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Case management </li><li>Effectively assessing student learning </li><li>Designing appropriate instructional plans </li><li>Consulting with educational staff </li><li>Ability to work with a diverse student population </li><li>Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required </li></ul> <p>Salary: $66,765 (minimum) to $99,470 (maximum) commensurate with experience</p> <p>Benefits as per contract: Medical, dental, flexible spending, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, professional development, mentoring</p> <p>The North Plainfield School District welcomes your interest and looks forward to reviewing your application!</p> <p>EOE/AA</p>
