<p>About the Job</p> <p>We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Staff Architect to join our Digital Engineering, Platform team. In this role, you'll be responsible for shaping and leading the technology strategy and roadmap that align with business objectives, technical architecture, and long-term goals. This position offers the chance to play a pivotal role in the design and development of innovative, scalable solutions.</p> <p>What You'll Do | Key Accountabilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead the architectural design and development of Ecommerce and Microservices-based applications, leveraging Java and past Ecommerce experience, using data-driven insights to create scalable, efficient solutions. </li><li>Have a deep understanding of the complete Ecommerce lifecycle, from customer browsing and product selection to order fulfillment, payment processing, and post-purchase support. </li><li>Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams-including software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders-to define requirements and deliver scalable, impactful solutions leveraging Google Analytics 4 (GA4) & ecommerce dataset in Oracle/DB2. </li><li>Design and implement Cloud-based solutions, with a strong emphasis on GCP (Google Cloud Platform), using industry best practices and design principles. </li><li>Provide high-level oversight on portfolio decisions, influencing both business and technical architecture roadmaps. </li><li>Create and implement scalable solutions to complex business challenges, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and methodologies. </li><li>Partner with Product Owners and Engineering Teams to align technical design with the product roadmap and business objectives. </li><li>Prototype innovative, cross-platform business solutions to evaluate new technologies. </li><li>Review architectural designs to ensure solutions are consistent, flexible, cost-effective, and maintainable. </li><li>Guide Application and Infrastructure Architects to ensure smooth development processes and timely releases. </li><li>Provide architectural consulting to engineering teams to maintain consistency, security, and flexibility in product design. </li><li>Foster strong, strategic relationships with product owners, vendors, and technology teams. </li><li>Stay actively engaged in both architectural and engineering activities, maintaining a hands-on approach to technology. </li><li>Mentor teams to develop advanced engineering and architecture capabilities. </li><li>Drive continuous learning and improvement, ensuring teams meet current and future technical challenges. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring | Skills & Experience</p> <ul> <li>12+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Java and modern backend technologies in Ecommerce platform. </li><li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience. </li><li>5+ years of experience designing and implementing Microservices Architecture. </li><li>5+ years of experience with cloud-based solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure) </li><li>5+ years of solid understanding of database management (SQL/NoSQL), and the ability to query and analyze large datasets. </li><li>Knowledge in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), with the ability to analyze data and translate findings into actionable recommendations. </li><li>Proficiency in building highly available, performant systems, platforms including experience with distributed systems. </li><li>Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and modern version control (Git). </li><li>Ability to think critically and strategically about system design, scalability, and performance. </li><li>Advanced knowledge of Agile Development Methodologies. </li><li>Extensive expertise frameworks such as Spring Boot, NodeJS, ReactJS. </li><li>Deep knowledge of layered solutions and security-conscious design principles. </li><li>Extensive experience with the full range of technical architecture components across systems and products. </li><li>Strong grasp of business operations, objectives, and strategies, with a deep understanding of global business and technology trends in the financial services industry. </li><li>Excellent communication skills-both verbal and written-enabling effective collaboration with diverse groups at all levels. </li><li>Ability to drive and manage change within a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Recognized as a thought leader in the company with strong consulting skills. </li><li>A balance of visionary thinking and pragmatic decision-making, considering both short-term and long-term business implications. </li></ul> <p>Please note that you do not need to qualify for all requirements to be considered. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications. Over time, and subject to performance, tenure, and evolving responsibilities, total compensation for this role may grow to as much as $225,000. Other compensation may include a 10% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) bonus paid out according to policy.
