<ul> <li>Must be courteous to patients, visitors and employees. </li><li>Administers diagnostic testing procedures to determine the extent of patient's impairment and the prognosis for improvement. Identifies pertinent patient problems. (20%)E </li><li>Sets objective, measurable treatment goals incorporating patient's goal for functional outcome. Establishes a treatment plan based on patient needs and patient family input. (20%)E </li><li>Performs treatment procedures and adapts therapy techniques to meet the needs of patients unable to comprehend verbal commands or voluntarily carry out a regime of therapeutic exercises. Re-evaluates patients, modifies treatment plan and procedures based on patient progress.(20%)E </li><li>Provides objective, analytic documentation of patient care, patient/family education and information regarding units of service. Communicates effectively with medical/allied health personnel regarding patient progress, needs, and discharge planning. (15%)E </li><li>Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment program, quality improvement initiatives, safety, environmental and infection control standards. (5%)E </li><li>Trains new personnel as required, assists the Manager with on the job training. </li><li>Provides guidance and direction to PTAs aides and affiliating students. </li><li>Enhances professional growth and development through approved participation in educational programs, current literature, inservice meetings, and workshops. Participates in appropriate inservice educational programs. </li><li>Attends meetings as required. (5%) </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. (5%) </li><li>Graduate of an APTA accredited Physical Therapy program with a degree in Physical Therapy. </li><li>Licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. </li><li>One to two years experience preferred. </li><li>Adheres to the Professional Code of Ethics of the APTA. </li><li>Demonstrates current clinical competency. </li><li>Good interpersonal and organizational skills. </li></ul>
