<p>Role of Position</p> <p>The Buyer is a critical member of the Sourcing team and works closely with other teams and departments throughout the organization. The position participates in supplier development, alliance initiatives and plays a crucial role in cost management through lowest total cost of ownership. In addition, the position will follow the established best practices utilizing the "Procure to Pay" process. The position is expected to achieve an annual cost out goal of 1-2% of spend.</p> <p>Essential responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintain detailed records of transactions that are in compliance with financial guidelines, audit requirements, and solid business practices. </li><li>Work closely with sourcing team to achieve all department goals and objectives </li><li>Manage requisitions from Viewpoint and Web Req/MISys through procurement. </li><li>Run MRP daily and make purchases per MRP report </li><li>Prepare and conduct RFQ/RFP and other administration tasks as business warrants </li><li>Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payments terms with suppliers. </li><li>Establish, build, and maintain effective relationships with all key suppliers </li><li>Source vet and onboard suppliers as needed </li><li>In-put all new supplier information in Viewpoint </li><li>Monitor, maintain, and update supplier certificate of insurance files </li><li>Produce and update Training Manual on Requisition Entry for Supervisors and general SOP for purchase order entry </li><li>Train new requisitioners and approvers as needed </li><li>Work with AP on Invoice Suspense Resolution </li><li>Work with suppliers to ensure compliance that PO # is placed in all invoices. </li><li>Support Estimating Department and engineers with pricing and estimating needs. </li><li>Review weekly receiving Inventory Report and place replenishment orders with appropriate suppliers for Receiving and Maintenance </li><li>Maintain and update Approves Supplier List by category. </li><li>Manage credit application process with new suppliers </li><li>Conduct RFQs for craft services/site services suppliers based upon time and materials. </li></ul>
