<p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>Employee operates a variety of tooling equipment per standard operating procedures to construct quality, finished or refurbished machine parts from raw metal stock and/or used tooling. Employee also performs teardown and installations of all production machinery at manufacturing facility.</p> <p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>High School/GED Preferred </li><li>Tech/Vo Tech Training Certificate; Machining or Tool and Die Tech Certificate Preferred </li><li>One-to-Two (1-2) Years Demonstrated Machinist Experience Required </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Possess dependability to be consistently at work and on time with ability to work 40+ flexible schedule as required </li><li>Possess fundamental listening, verbal, and written communications skills to accurately follow directions </li><li>Possess functional mechanical knowledge to determine various tooling machine functions </li><li>Possess functional mathematical ability including knowledge of fractions and decimals to perform math calculations and measurement computing using tape measure and/or micrometers </li><li>Possess special and form perception with finger and manual dexterity to interpret blueprints and verify dimensions of machines parts and to perform machining operations </li><li>Possess ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines when handling raw steel materials, finished steel products, machinery and/or equipment </li><li>Possess a "Team" mentality with a quality assurance/safety orientation mindset when handling raw steel materials, finished steel products, and performing machining operations </li><li>Possess repetitive standing and/or bending capability during normal phase duties </li><li>Possess effective communication skills to interact with management, co-workers, and outside vendors </li><li>Possess close visual acuity, near/far vision, and multiple limb coordination </li><li>Possess medium (up to 50 lbs) lifting capability while performing essential job duties </li><li>Possess repetitive standing, walking, and/or bending capability during normal phase duties </li><li>Mazak experience is a plus, but not required </li></ul> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct a safety evaluation of work area prior to performing machinist actions. </li><li>Perform routine maintenance and machine setup actions as required throughout all phases of production. </li><li>Read/interpret technical drawings or prints for machining specifications. </li><li>Perform machine-tooling actions on conventional machine tools including, but not limited to, lathes, shapers, planers, and milling machines. </li><li>Perform machine tooling actions on various metal forming tools including grinders, saws, drilling and boring machines. </li><li>Verify dimensions of parts machined using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments. </li><li>Perform machine(s), workstation, and surrounding area cleanup/housekeeping tasks, as required. </li></ul> <p>Excellent benefits include medical with a standard PPO plan with deductibles as low as $1,500 and wellness credit up to $750; voluntary 401k plan deduction up to 12% with varying company match per quarter; voluntary dental and vision plans; free telemedicine; basic life and short term disability coverage.</p> <p>EOE M/F/D/V</p> <p>2nd shift 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.</p> <p>Monday through Thursday</p>
