<p>Position Summary</p> <p>Responsible for greeting guests, confirming reservations (if applicable) and escorting guests to tables in an upbeat, friendly, and courteous manner.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Greet incoming and departing guests in a warm and friendly manner </li><li>Manage reservation system </li><li>Ensure reservations are prioritized and seated in a timely manner </li><li>Strive to accommodate walk-in guests whenever possible </li><li>Seat guest(s) in the dining and bar areas while ensuring a smooth handoff to service staff </li><li>Clearly and politely communicate with guests when delays and/or waits occur </li><li>Maintain an organized floor by quickly and efficiently seating guests according to hotel standards </li><li>Communicate pertinent reservation notes to appropriate staff members </li><li>Answer phones in a prompt and professional manner and direct calls as applicable </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to speak, read, write and understand English </li><li>Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both in person and on the phone </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with guests, staff and management </li><li>Working knowledge of OpenTable reservation system </li><li>Knowledge, understanding and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums and other instructions </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or equivalent required </li></ul> <p>Website:</p> <p>https://jwnashvillecareers.com/</p>
