Sort, label, archive and manage records, often using both alphabetical and numerical systems.</p> <p>SUPERVISON RECEIVED: Director of Human Resources</p> <p>SUPERVISION EXERCISED: File Clerk- Interns</p> <p>SALARY: $15.00 PER HOUR</p> <p>SCHEDULE: PART TIME (VARIOUS)</p> <p>Temporary, non-benefitted, non-union position</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Organize and archive records and documents, both physical and electronic </li><li>Maintain filing systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency </li><li>Sort, label, and categorize documents </li><li>Manage the lifecycle of documents, from creation to archiving </li><li>Create and manage records with new information. </li><li>Keep all paperwork in appropriate places, applying security measures to important documents. </li><li>Organize and convert documentation into electronic format through data entry or optical scanning </li><li>Retrieve data and files for other departments and personnel. </li><li>Make copies of paperwork and distribute as needed </li><li>Provide administrative support to office staff by filing and organizing documents. </li><li>Answer and transfer telephone calls or take messages. </li><li>Sort and deliver incoming mail and send outgoing mail. </li><li>Schedule appointments and receive customers or visitors. </li><li>Provide general information to staff, clients, or the public </li><li>Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Good organizational skills </li><li>Attention to detail </li><li>Integrity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality and materials </li><li>Ability to read and understand a wide range of materials </li><li>Verbal communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Must be a team player </li></ul> <p>Work Environment: The work environment involves everyday discomforts of a municipal office subject to frequent interruptions.
