<p>Family Partner - Community Service Agency (CSA)</p> <p>Location: Brockton, MA</p> <p>Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm</p> <p>Hourly Rate: $20/hour</p> <p>FLSA Status: Exempt</p> <p>Who We Are:</p> <p>BAMSI has been "bringing people and services together" since 1975. Our Community Service Agency (CSA) program supports families raising youth with serious emotional disturbance (SED). You play a key role in ensuring caregivers' voices are heard and that families are equipped to advocate for their children and navigate complex systems successfully.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <p>The Family Partner provides peer-based support, advocacy, and guidance to caregivers of youth with significant emotional and behavioral needs, helping families build skills, confidence, and connections.</p> <ul> <li>Provide guidance, coaching, and support to caregivers navigating their child's needs and services </li><li>Help caregivers articulate youth strengths, needs, and goals within the Care Planning Team (CPT) </li><li>Engage families in home and community-based activities aligned with Individual Care Plans </li><li>Support caregivers in developing self-care strategies and connecting to peer supports and resources </li><li>Attend meetings (IEPs, treatment teams, hospital discharges, etc.) and assist with transition planning </li><li>Participate in and, when appropriate, facilitate Care Planning Team meetings </li><li>Conduct weekly in-person home visits and provide ongoing telephone support </li><li>Provide transportation to families as needed </li><li>Maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards at all times </li><li>Participate in weekly supervision (administrative, clinical, and group supervision) </li><li>Complete timely and accurate documentation including progress notes and treatment goals </li></ul> <p>What You Bring:</p> <p>Required Experience & Lived Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Must have lived experience as a parent/caregiver of a youth with special needs </li><li>Experience with youth with mental health needs strongly preferred </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience (one required):</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED and minimum 2 years' experience with children/adolescents/TAY </li><li>Associate degree in a human services field and 1 year relevant experience </li><li>Bachelor's degree in a human services field and 1 year relevant experience </li></ul> <p>Skills & Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience navigating child- and family-serving systems (schools, behavioral health, etc.) </li><li>Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills </li><li>Ability to engage families without judgment and build trusting relationships </li><li>Knowledge of community resources and culturally responsive services </li><li>Ability to support families in crisis and high-stress situations </li><li>Team-oriented with the ability to work independently in the field </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required </li></ul> <p>Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm</p> <p>40</p>
