Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for industrial purposes. </li><li>Develops applications of controls, instruments, and systems and prepares electrical schematics, panel layouts, plc programming, operator interface designs, and upgrades/enhances controls on existing products </li><li>Works with the design team to learn work flow, drawing preparation and BOM structure </li><li>Directs activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements. </li><li>Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. </li><li>Makes engineering changes/improvements within CAD environment and processes engineering change requests in a timely manner. </li><li>Ensures customers are satisfied, consistent with expectations. </li><li>Participates in design reviews with design team members and reads and interprets technical materials. </li><li>Provides product support on the manufacturing floor. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.</p> <p>Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from four-year college or university required, and two years experience in a "job shop" environment desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</p> <p>Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public</p> <p>Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.</p> <p>Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.</p> <p>Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Office software, RSView and WonderWare software, PLC programming proficiency with Allen Bradley and Siemans S7 products, AutoCAD drawing software and BPCSW and manufacturing systems software, such as BPCS (AS400).</p> <p>Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
