Additional duties include maintaining cleanliness in line with Dane County Public Health Department standards, operating checkout, managing cleanup tasks, and ensuring merchandise is properly stored and fully stocked.</p> <p>In addition, the Food Service - Cashier performs daily cash reconciliation, opening and closing the cafeteria and coffee shop and supporting other areas as needed.</p> <p>This part-time position is scheduled for 25 hours per week, 38-weeks per year during the Fall and Spring academic semesters. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.</p> <p>Required documents (1):</p> <ul> <li>Resume </li><li>Failure to include this document by the first consideration date will RESULT IN THE DISQUALIFICATION OF YOUR APPLICATION. </li></ul> <p>Accountabilities:</p> <ul> <li>Processes financial transactions by handling payments, recording sales, reconciling cash drawers and completing daily financial reports to maintain accurate transactions. </li><li>Delivers customer service by assisting customers with purchases and responds to inquiries to ensure effective fulfillment of orders. </li><li>Ensure secure and efficient operations by performing opening and closing procedures, verifying cash transactions and assisting with health and safety standards </li><li>Supports equipment functionality by performing routine cleaning and minor maintenance on food service equipment to support effective resource stewardship and operational excellence. </li><li>Contributes to an inclusive, equitable and supportive environment where everyone at the institution feels valued, respected and empowered to reach their full potential. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of retail sales operations such as operating a point-of-sale system food handling and sanitation and safety regulations. </li><li>Ability to accurately handle financial transactions, reconcile cash drawers and maintain financial records. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple processes, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Ability to provide effective customer service and resolve concerns. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High School or equivalent additional work experience </li><li>0-2 years of relevant working experience </li></ul> <p>Madison College does not offer H-1B or other work authorization visa sponsorship for this position.
