<p>Nursing Assistant Position Summary</p> <p>The Nursing Assistant provides essential support to nursing staff by performing basic patient care duties, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Perform basic patient care tasks including hygiene, grooming, and mobility support. </li><li>Provide general nursing care such as patient positioning, lifting, turning, and use of assistive equipment. </li><li>Assist with toileting using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation. </li><li>Take and document vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, and blood pressure, as well as intake and output measurements. </li><li>Assist in patient admission, transfer, and discharge, including handling personal belongings. </li><li>Maintain a clean and comfortable patient environment. </li><li>Respond promptly to patient call lights, telephone, and paging systems. </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>Effective communication and teamwork skills required.</p> <p>Ability to prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced care setting.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities</p> <p>The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.</p> <p>Experience: Minimum six months of experience in an acute or long-term care facility preferred.</p> <p>Certifications: CPR/BCLS certification required.</p>
