If you're ready for the right place to belong and grow your career, you can find it here.\nBenefits that set us apart.\n\nComprehensive medical?including Fertility, Adoption benefits, Dental, and Vision Insurance\nOnsite Health & Wellness Center\nEmployer 401K contribution in the top 1% of the nation\nTuition Assistance\nAccess to Employee Store\n\nWhat You Do.\n\nFollows all GMP's as required by the plant.\nFollows all safety regulations and requirements, including proper PPE.\nImmediately reports accidents, injuries, and any equipment that is in need of repair.\nReads and understands production orders to verify all product information is correct.\nVerifies that adequate raw materials and supplies are available to meet line production needs, notifies appropriate personnel about anything that is short or cannot be located.\nAccurately completes required paperwork and data entry for quality and production checks.\nVisually checks raw product for foreign objects.\nVisually inspects equipment, tables, floors, etc., to ensure GMP standards are met.\nAccurately measures or weighs raw materials to ensure proper blends according to production order.\nPrepares bulk cheese according to production order such as: unboxing, decasing, removing plastic wrap, etc.\nSafely operates, assembles, and disassembles all equipment such as: harps, grinders, cutters, blenders, Urschels, etc. involved in reducing bulk materials according to production order specifications.\nMonitors and replaces harp/die wires as needed.\nProperly places trim, further processing, and inedible product in the appropriate containers.\nProperly moves/lifts pallets; uses 2-person lift technique when appropriate.\nAccurately scans warehouse managed items and promptly reports known scanning errors.\nReads and understands production orders to verify all product information is correct.\nMaintains, loads, and monitors packing equipment to include minor adjustments and coordinates set up and placement of equipment such as: auto case packer, tape machines, printers, conveyors, etc\nVerifies correct label information.\nLoads and stacks completed packages or containers to pallets according to proper loading or stacking patterns as required.\nEnsures that product samples are taken and labeled according to specifications.\nAccurately completes required paperwork and data entry for quality and production clerks.\nInspects and packs product to ensure product and package quality meets customer expectations.\nProperly handles and operates RF gun scanners and replaces batteries when needed.\nSafely operates industrial power equipment.\nPerforms Sanitation responsibilities as needed on your shift which requires the use of cleaning chemicals and specialized cleaning equipment to remove debris from machines, equipment, conveyors, floors, walls, tables, etc. \nAssists others in Prep area, Pack area, and Sanitation activities.\nAssures that quality and quantity of work produced is acceptable to company standards.\nTrains individuals as assigned.\n\nYour Education and Experience.\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED/HSED) required or minimally enrolled with anticipated completion in 12 months or lessPrior manufacturing experience is a plus\nYour Qualifications.\n\nMust be 18 years or older.\nWillingness to complete fork lift certification upon hire.\nAbility to learn and carry out lock out tag out procedures as required.\nLifting 50 lbs.\nAbility to perform data entry for inventory systems and labeling software.\n\n\nOur Environment.\nSargento is a refrigerated food production facility and the ability to work in a cold environment is a necessity.
