<p>General Summary</p> <p>Who We Are</p> <p>We are the largest community college in Colorado, enrolling close to 28,000 credit students annually in a diverse service area with broad cultural and recreational activities. We were one of 30 colleges in the initial American Association of Community Colleges Pathways Project, recently selected as a "Most Promising Place to Work" in Diverse Magazine, and profiled as one of six top community colleges for transfer student success in a recent Aspen Institute publication. You work individually, as well as in collaboration with colleagues, to develop innovative curriculum which meets the needs of our diverse population of students. Student retention and success is your top priority. You will utilize technology and effective teaching strategies to develop students' critical thinking skills.</p> <p>You serve as representative of the department by participating in committees, task forces, and events at the campus, college, and/or state levels.</p> <p>You work individually, as well as in collaboration with colleagues, to develop innovative curriculum which meets the needs of our diverse population of students. Student retention and success is your top priority. You will utilize technology and effective teaching strategies to develop students' critical thinking skills.</p> <p>You may be asked to teach at different times, locations and modalities to meet the needs of the College.</p> <p>SELECTION PROCESS:This position will remain open until filled with a strong need for the Fall 2023 semester.</p> <p>Preliminary screening will be made on the basis of completed application package submitted by candidate. Completed application package includes:</p> <ul> <li> <p>A resume;</p> </li><li> <p>A letter of interest;</p> </li><li> <p>A copy of official transcripts;</p> </li><li> <p>A one-page statement of your teaching philosophy; and</p> </li><li> <p>A list of courses and the semesters you have taught.</p> </li></ul> <p>Please note: This is an on-campus position. You need to be a Colorado resident on your first day of employment.</p> <p>All qualified candidates will remain in a talent pool for future consideration and need to be residents of Colorado by the first day of employment.</p> <p>SALARY:The pay range for Part-Time Instructors varies, depending on the type of course, the contact ratio and contact hours, as well as your level of education and years of teaching. Please refer to ourPart-Time Instructor Pay Matrixfor detailed information.</p> <p>BENEFITS:Part-Time Instructors will have their hours measured on an annual basis to determine eligibility to enroll in medical health insurance only for the following benefit period. (See:Instructor & Variable Hour Employee Benefit Information).</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>Hold ASCP-BOC or ASCP-BOC certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician or hold certification in phlebotomy from an applicable recognized certification agency. </li><li>Able to provide documentation of 4,000 hours of occupational experience within last 5 years. </li></ul> <p>Welcoming.
