We strive to create an inclusive work environment that fosters respect and dignity for all.</p> <p>Special Education Teacher (Inclusion/ECP)</p> <p>Attleboro High School</p> <p>Start Date: August 2025 with orientation days prior</p> <p>General education and special education staff work collaboratively to ensure access to the general education curriculum. Services are delivered in a variety of models including: co-teaching, push-in, small group, 1:1, pull-out, and substaintally separate specific academic courses. The ECP program provides a highly-structured environment that emphasizes developing and strengthening students skills in academics, language, communication, problem-solving, and organization. academics, language, communication, problem-solving, and organization.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Master's Degree preferred</p> <p>Massachusetts Licensure as a Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities (5-12) Massachusetts Licensure in Math or Science (9-12) preferred</p> <p>Exceptions to the above qualifications shall be made as the Superintendent deems appropriate and acceptable</p> <p>JOB GOAL/PURPOSE: To ensure that students with an IEP receive services in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations.</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Building Principal and/or Designee</p> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Addresses the needs of diverse learners in accordance with Federal and State laws and regulations. </li><li>Administers assessments, interprets evaluations, and writes reports. </li><li>Participates in multidisciplinary meetings to review evaluation results, integrates findings with other disciplines, provides recommendations and develops Individual Education Programs (IEPs) based on TEAM recommendations. </li><li>Collaborates with TEAM members to implement specially designed instruction to support educational, social-emotional/behavioral needs, and transition planning (14-22) in accordance with student's IEP. </li><li>Collaborates with the TEAM to determine and implement appropriate accommodations for classroom assessments and standardized examinations for special education students. </li><li>Completes all assigned paperwork for the special education process as required by state and federal regulations. </li><li>Provides targeted and evidence-based interventions. </li><li>Fulfills all case management responsibilities associated with the IEP. </li><li>Maintains accurate, complete and confidential student records. </li><li>Involvement at the community, system, building and student levels for school-wide initiatives such as social-emotional learning, Universal Design, assistive technology and program development. </li><li>Serves as a resource to develop effective teaching strategies for all students. </li><li>Responsible for annual reviews, written progress notes, parent/teacher conferences and proctoring state assessments. </li><li>Uses evidence-based research and continuing education to address MA frameworks and to meet licensure requirements. </li><li>Performs other responsibilities as deemed appropriate and assigned by a supervisor and/or designee. </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>Safety Care trained, preferred</p> <p>1-2 years as a special educator</p> <p>ELL and SEL training preferred</p> <p>Google Classroom and Meet experience preferred</p> <p>Reading and Math Intervention experience preferred</p> <p>Applications will be considered when submitted via our online application system with POWERSCHOOL UNIFIED TALENT.
