Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <p>REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in engineering or College Certificate in Engineering Technology; Focus in Welding, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical engineering is desirable. </li><li>Must have a minimum 5 years of experience in small to large automotive tooling and welding manufacturing processes. </li><li>Must have 2 - 5 years' experience coordinating and managing projects related to tooling and assembly automated equipment. </li><li>Proven leadership experience; excellent problem-solving ability; organizational and planning abilities; negotiation skills and mechanical/technical abilities. </li><li>Strong working experience with PFMEA, Flows and Control Plans. </li><li>Must have knowledge of and familiarity, project management, APQP, PPAP, VA/VE, LEAN and other automotive related activities. </li><li>Must possess strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving, organizational, project and time management skills. </li><li>Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Project, etc.). </li><li>CAD computer skills and Fanuc robotics programming is an asset. </li></ul> <p>DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Manage assigned product and process. Analyze and investigate issues and develop corrective and preventative actions and improve operating metrics </li><li>Lead continuous improvement initiatives with the focus on safety, quality, efficiency and delivery. </li><li>Manage PFMEA development and focus on Continues Risk Reduction on new and existing process and product. </li><li>Manage product or process engineering changes, ECRs and PCRs. Responsible for all aspects including feasibility, design, process development, manpower, costing, quoting, equipment and tooling launch, validation and buyoff. </li><li>Leads project and product related CFT meetings, ensuring open communication relating to all ongoing and potential projects/changes. </li><li>Develops and writes equipment specifications, performance requirements, cost analysis, and proposals for integrating machinery and equipment such as robots, robot controllers, and programmable controllers into manufacturing process. </li><li>Implements and practices APQP & CPMP procedures. </li><li>Complies with, supports and models CBAM's operational procedures/policies, Employee Handbook, and Magna's Employee's Charter, Corporate Constitution, and Operational Principles. </li><li>Complies with relevant Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental programs (e.g. ISO 9001/IATF 16949, ISO 45001 ISO 14001). </li><li>Complies with all Health and Safety programs in accordance with OSHA.
