This role leads and facilitates system-wide, campus-based, and unit-level orientation; competency validation; continuing education; and staff development initiatives that strengthen clinical practice and elevate standards of care.</p> <p>The NPDS designs, implements, and evaluates high-impact learning experiences that promote skill advancement, critical thinking, and sustained professional competence for direct care teams. Educational programs are grounded in nursing theory, clinical expertise, evidence-based practice, and the principles of pedagogy and andragogy to meet the diverse learning needs of adult learners.</p> <p>A key collaborator in multidisciplinary performance improvement teams, the NPDS actively partners with leaders and frontline staff to enhance patient and staff safety, elevate satisfaction, improve clinical outcomes, and support system-wide standardization. This role is essential to fostering a culture of continuous learning, practice excellence, and professional engagement.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li> <p>Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred: Masters Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred: Postgraduate certification in education</p> </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li> <p>Required: Minimum of 5 years of acute care bedside clinical experience</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred: Experience in a specialty area within acute care and previous formal or informal teaching experience</p> </li></ul> <p>Licensure</p> <ul> <li>Required: Current Florida RN license </li></ul> <p>Certifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Required: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) valid for at least 90 days post-hire</p> </li><li> <p>Required as Assigned: ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, or other certifications based on department mandate and timeline</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred: Professional specialty certification or certification in Professional Nursing Development</p> </li></ul> <p>Skills & Additional Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth</p> </li><li> <p>Prefer active membership in professional or academic nursing organizations</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in basic computer applications including MS Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Excel</p> </li></ul> <p>US:FL:Fort Myers</p>
