<p>Job Location:</p> <p>OIC Services</p> <p>Primary Purpose</p> <p>The Operational Intelligence Center (OIC) is a sophisticated command center dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to retail centers across North America. As a Security Analytics Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth reviews of CCTV footage, integrating surveillance data with other security systems, and producing analytical insights to support incident investigations, operational improvements, and strategic security initiatives. This role is responsible for the technical oversight and health reporting of the OIC's CCTV ecosystem. This role supports internal investigations, and incident response by conducting thorough CCTV reviews, preserving video evidence for legal and security teams, and producing detailed After-action reviews, narratives and reports. Additionally, the Security Analytics Specialists play a key role in enhancing the center's security posture, situational awareness, CCTV operational efficiency and data-driven results across the portfolio. This role requires outstanding technical/computer skills, adaptability, critical thinking, expertise in CCTV investigations, strong written and verbal briefing abilities, the ability to master multiple applications, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service in every interaction.</p> <p>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Conduct CCTV Investigations for a wide variety of incident types </li><li>Responding to Evidence Collection and Preservation requests in an efficient and timely manner </li><li>Conducting critical CCTV reviews, providing detail oriented written and verbal narratives, briefs and After-Action Reviews for internal reports, legal proceedings, or regulatory compliance </li><li>Ability to leverage data from multiple security technologies (i.e. mobile CCTV trailers, analytic solutions, LPR's, site mapping) to create a unified incident picture </li><li>Monitor and track the condition of CCTV operations and perform or coordinate corrective actions. </li><li>Identify gaps in surveillance coverage or integrations and recommend technical enhancements </li><li>Maintain connectivity tracking/reporting framework </li><li>Familiarize yourself with the layout and current threats and challenges of multiple retail centers </li><li>Interpret retail centers site maps, and computer-aided design maps to help with CCTV reviews </li><li>Maintaining data visualization platform updates for camera FOVs, camera additions etc </li><li>Provide input into CCTV system upgrades or analytic tools </li><li>Collaborate with all OIC Personnel (Specialists, Intelligence Analysts, Executives), IT, Corporate Security, and vendors on projects at various stages to ensure interoperability between surveillance systems and data platforms </li><li>Assisting in Server upgrade troubleshooting and or onboarding assistance </li><li>Assisting with property CCTV Expansion project onboarding </li><li>Facilitating new pilots such as CCTV analytics or other methodologies </li><li>Administrative and Office Support by providing general support for operations center team, including data entry, documentation, and cross functional assistance as needed </li><li>Maintain confidentiality of policies, procedures, emergency response information, and administrative materials. </li><li>Operate and monitor surveillance cameras and programs, ensuring all equipment functions properly. </li><li>Support record management and data collection efforts, including video documentation and investigation assistance. </li><li>Maintain an effective video management system and maneuver cameras to document events and assist investigations. </li><li>Maintain OIC technical equipment inventories and research new security-related technology. Ability to analyze data and services and make appropriate recommendations to improve service/reduce cost. </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must be a U.S Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident. </li><li>Must submit to drug screening as permissible by law. </li><li>Must be able to pass a background check </li><li>Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a public or private safety organization. </li><li>At least two (2) years of experience in a video surveillance environment, data analytics, or equivalent training/experience. </li><li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 3-5 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential function of the job. </li><li>Experience with VMS platforms (e.g., Genetec, Milestone, Salient, Avigilon) and data analysis tools (e.g., PowerBI, Excel, Splunk) </li><li>Ability to analyze data and interpret patterns and trends </li><li>Ability to communicate orally sufficient to make security-related presentations to various internal and external audiences. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively in writing and to prepare technical and non-technical reports. </li><li>Knowledge of physical security concepts, principles, procedures, methods and practices to include intrusion prevention and detection, risk assessment tools, closed circuit television, and access control. </li><li>Ability to understand and interpret building design/blueprints to determine consistency of contractual security requirements. </li><li>Experience with various security system platforms and related equipment including but not limited to, cameras and systems monitoring software. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge and Skills Required:</p> <ul> <li>Strong attention to detail and sustained focus during repetitive tasks </li><li>High level of procedural discipline and SOP compliance </li><li>Ability to remain alert in low-stimulus environments </li><li>Proficiency with video monitoring software and multi-screen systems </li><li>Fast and accurate typing and documentation </li><li>Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays </li><li>Ability to analyze data and interpret patterns and trends </li><li>Clear and confident verbal communication, especially under pressure and the ability to communicate orally sufficient to make security-related presentations to various internal and external audiences. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively in writing sufficient to prepare technical and non-technical reports. </li><li>Knowledge of physical security concepts, principles, procedures, methods and practices to include intrusion prevention and detection, risk assessment tools, closed circuit television, and access control. </li><li>Ability to understand and interpret building design/blueprints to determine consistency of contractual security requirements. </li><li>Ability to maintain equipment inventories and research new security-related technology. Ability to analyze data and services and make appropriate recommendations to improve service/reduce cost. </li><li>Experience with various security system platforms and related equipment including but not limited to, cameras and systems monitoring software. </li><li>Demonstrated initiative and ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines. </li><li>Highly organized and self-motivated to work independently and as part of a team. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel. </li><li>Capable of performing regular equipment checks and reporting failures. </li><li>Ability to operate technical monitoring equipment and manage information security programs. </li><li>Professional demeanor, good judgment, and discretion. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements and Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Office environment with limited physical effort </li><li>Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have the mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees. </li><li>Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 0% - 10% of the time. </li><li>Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 0% - 10% of the time. </li><li>Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type and use a computer system 100% of the time. </li><li>Sitting: Sitting for prolonged and extended periods of time. </li><li>Must be able to work 12-hour shifts during special events, high traffic periods, and emergency operations. </li><li>Must be willing to adjust work hours as necessary to meet Operational requirements when needed. </li></ul>
