<p>Position Objective</p> <p>GENEX is seeking a Dairy Territory Sales Manager position to cover the areas of SE NY, CT, and MA. The candidate will provide personalized genetic, reproduction, and breeding program assistance to members/customers who will result in improved profit potential for them and high levels of satisfaction. Also, this candidate will sell GENEX semen, services, resale products, and programs to achieve sales goals, margins, and develop new business in sales area.</p> <p>This position is 100% dairy emphasis.</p> <p>Major Areas of Accountability</p> <ul> <li>Achieve budgeted unit and dollar growth for GENEX dairy and beef semen and GenChoice semen. </li><li>Coordinate and communicate with Resale Product Advisors, U.S. Technical Service, and U.S. Strategic Marketing staff to build solid long-term relationships. </li><li>Responsible for leading and assisting sales personnel in area to increase market share through the development of retail sales, service herds, and resale product sales. </li><li>As a team member, be involved in problem solving with genetics, reproduction, and resale products to assist in member/customer profitability and satisfaction. </li><li>Develop strategies, implement plans, and determine accountability for each targeted herd. </li><li>Establish goals and plans for achieving resale product growth. </li><li>Handle semen ordering, shipments, and return of tanks according to shipping and receiving procedures. </li><li>Promote member meetings attendance and delegate participation. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Degree in Agriculture or equivalent practical experience preferred </li><li>Prior sales experience </li><li>Microsoft knowledge </li><li>Strong dairy background and large herd experience </li><li>Enjoy working with members and customers to help them be profitable </li><li>Be a team player and a problem solver </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment as well as possess effective communication and people skills </li><li>Willingness to be challenged and develop both personally and professionally </li></ul>
