This entry-level position is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks and assisting with basic troubleshooting to maintain reliable equipment performance. Working under close supervision, this role provides an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills and gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.</p> <p>Responsibilities & Duties</p> <ul> <li>Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, including lubrication, cleaning, filter replacement, and other routine tasks to ensure equipment reliability. </li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues with manufacturing equipment and control systems. </li><li>Replace simple components such as bulbs, fuses, belts, and bearings. </li><li>Respond to maintenance and facility emergencies as needed, including off-shift support. </li><li>Assist senior technicians and external contractors with repairs and maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. </li><li>Apply Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles to analyze equipment data and recommend appropriate maintenance approaches. </li><li>Maintain, prioritize, and update work lists to ensure efficient workflow. </li><li>Purchase, receive, and organize parts and tools to support maintenance activities. </li><li>Accurately document maintenance activities and asset information in the Asset Management System. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>Technical school coursework or certificate in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Systems, Electrical Technology, or a related field preferred. </li><li>Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or maintenance principles. </li><li>Willingness to complete required on-the-job training and safety courses while continuously developing technical skills. </li></ul> <p>Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.</p> <ul> <li>Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment. </li><li>Analytical mindset with strong root-cause problem-solving abilities. </li><li>Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team. </li><li>Self-motivated, adaptable, and committed to safety and quality. </li><li>Knowledge of PLCs, control systems troubleshooting, HVAC, and boilers is highly desired. </li><li>Familiarity with Lean principles and industrial/manufacturing operations is preferred. </li><li>Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. </li></ul> <p>Working Location</p> <p>The position is located at Colorcon's Indianapolis, IN site and works 100% on site, and is required to participate in emergency on-call rotation.</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>3702 E. 21st St.</p> <p>Indianapolis, Indiana, 46218</p> <p>United States</p> <p>Colorcon participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S. If E-Verify cannot confirm that you are authorized to work, this employer is required to give you written instructions and an opportunity to contact Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or Social Security Administration (SSA) so you can begin to resolve the issue before the employer can take any action against you, including terminating your employment.
