<p>Key Qualities:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Exegetical Preacher</p> </li><li> <p>Warm, Relational</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborative Leader</p> </li><li> <p>Shepherd's Heart</p> </li><li> <p>Energetic</p> </li><li> <p>Visionary</p> </li></ol> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Worship: Serve as the lead Worshiper (Prayer), Discipler (Word) & Evangelist (Gospel) of Zion.</p> <ul> <li>Sundays: Lead 40-44 Sunday services annually. </li><li>Funerals: At least 2 annually. </li><li>Weddings: At least 2 annually. </li></ul> <p>Preaching & Teaching: Provide biblically-based preaching and teaching.</p> <ul> <li>Sermons: Prepare, Plan, and Deliver 40-44 Sundays a year. </li><li>Wednesday Connection Night: Provide teaching on Wednesday nights for the congregation. Fall (8 weeks), Spring (8 weeks). </li></ul> <p>Leadership: Provide leadership to Session, Staff, Leaders, and Congregants.</p> <ul> <li>Lead the Session of 5 elders in its governance and shepherding of Zion. </li></ul> <p>Monthly: 12 Session meetings annually (Thurs, 7:00 - 10:00 PM CST)</p> <p>3-4 Member Meetings: Lead 1-2 Congregational Meetings, and 2 Informational Meetings.</p> <ul> <li>Mentor and promote the spiritual and professional development of Zion Pastors and Key Leaders. </li></ul> <p>Weekly: Executive Pastor</p> <p>Monthly: Director of Women's Leadership Council</p> <p>Monthly: Director of Men's Ministry</p> <ul> <li>Function as head of 9 staff members by supervising, nurturing, and vision casting with them as a team. </li></ul> <p>Staff Meetings: Executive Pastor leads these weekly. One per week, 90 minutes.</p> <p>Hiring/Firing: Will work with the Session and appropriate pastors or staff on employment/HR issues.</p> <ul> <li>Participate in program planning and execution of Zion's primary ministries. </li><li>Participate with the Platte Valley Presbytery. Attend quarterly (4) presbytery meetings annually. </li></ul> <p>Shepherd: Provide pastoral care for church members, officers, and staff.</p> <ul> <li>Shepherding priority is for officers (elders, deacons) and staff (pastors, directors, ministry leaders, and administrators). </li><li>Attend and participate in special church events. </li></ul> <p>VBS: Senior Pastor can choose a role or service for this week of discipleship and outreach (June).</p> <ul> <li>General and emergency shepherding care for 300+ active attenders. </li></ul> <p>Weekly: Participate with the Care Team, visiting or calling one member per week (hospital, recuperating, grieving, or shut-in)</p> <p>Compensation</p> <p>The total compensation package ranges from $120,000 to $150,000, commensurate with the candidate's</p> <p>education and experience. The package includes salary, housing allowance, benefits, and applicable taxes.</p> <p>The final structure of the compensation will be customizable based on the candidate's preferences within</p> <p>approved guidelines.
