TheDepartment of Customer Services, Satellite City Hall Division,is seeking five (5) empathetic and attentive individuals to join their team as aCustomer Service Representative I! Step into a role where every conversation counts and every solution matters.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Licensing & Permits: Process applications, renewals, and issuances for a wide range of City services, including motor vehicle transactions, bicycle licenses, disabled parking permits, picnic and loading zone permits, real property exemptions, voter registration, HOLO card passes, and more.</p> </li><li> <p>Driver's Licensing (satellite locations): Assist applicants with driver license/permit applications, administer vision tests and fingerprints, update records, and issue temporary licenses.</p> </li><li> <p>Cashiering & Transactions: Collect and validate fees for licenses, permits, taxes, and other City services; maintain accurate records of all transactions; balance daily cash intake.</p> </li><li> <p>Records & Office Support: Process and securely manage forms, applications, and sensitive data; maintain files, supplies, and publications; provide receptionist duties and general office support with minimal supervision.</p> </li><li> <p>Public Assistance: Provide accurate information on City services (e.g., vehicle registration, driver licensing, job announcements, handivan, permits) and refer non-City inquiries to appropriate agencies.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other related duties as required.</p> </li></ul> <p>Special Work Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Work schedule is Monday - Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.</p> </li><li> <p>This role involves conducting field investigations and may serve as a Disaster Support Worker per Mayor Directive 13-1.</p> </li><li> <p>May also be required to work overtime, weekends, nights and holidays based on operational needs.</p> </li></ul> <p>Apply today! Responsible work experience demonstrating the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:</p> <p>One year of clerical experience, which shall have included some customer service or public contact experience.</p> <p>Desired Experience: Proficient typing skills with a minimum speed of 40 words per minute and 10-key by touch.</p> <p>LICENSE REQUIREMENT:</p> <p>Possession of an appropriate valid driver's license (type 3/automobile), as required.</p> <p>Examination Process</p> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE EVALUATION:</p> <p>In addition to meeting the above minimum qualifications, your application will be further evaluated. Your score will be based on the quality and quantity of your education, experience and/or other related job requirements and competencies applicable to the position.
