As our next Director of Development, you'll play a key role in advancing CKV's mission, vision, and values while working in a warm, collaborative environment rooted in Christian principles.</p> <p>This opening is for a full-time salaried position. We accomplish these goals - and more through our compassionate team of individuals who strive every day to provide the best care and services our community needs.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>As the Director of Development your scope of responsibilities will include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Collaborating with the Vice President of Foundation to identify and pursue grant opportunities, assist in proposal preparation, support execution of the annual grant plan, and help ensure timely reporting and compliance requirements are met. </li><li>Providing writing and editorial support for Foundation-related articles, donor communications, campaign materials, and publications that highlight philanthropic initiatives and donor impact. </li><li>Serving as a liaison to local political officials and chambers of commerce as well as other civic groups in the local community with the support of the Vice President of Foundation. </li><li>Planning and coordinating, along with the Vice President of Foundation, major gifts campaigns for special projects as directed by The Brethren Home Foundation Board of Directors. </li><li>Managing relationships with prospects and donors and will be expected to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward those constituents of CKV-TBHC. </li><li>Coordinating and maintaining, along with the Vice President of Foundation and Director of Gift Planning, donor recognition activities associated with these programs according to the wishes of the donors. </li><li>Working along Director of Gift Planning to steward and cultivate planned giving prospects. </li><li>Evaluating the effectiveness of the various methods used to raise funds using appropriate fundraising industry benchmarks and make changes as necessary. </li><li>Working with the Marketing team and Foundation Support Specialist to explore giving opportunities for The Brethren Home Foundation. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications, Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and three to five years relative experience. </li><li>Must maintain familiarity with public relations practices and fundraising related concepts, practices and procedures as acquired by continued training, specialized instructions, advanced learning or experience. </li><li>Capacity to use independent judgment in discharging duties of unusual complexity and sensitivity is required. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form is also required. </li><li>Proficiency in software applications for business is required. </li><li>Must possess a valid driver's license. </li><li>Must have strong mathematical skill, with the ability to work with statistics and financial reports. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills is required. </li></ul> <p>Join Our Work Family</p> <p>As a team member at Cross Keys Village, you will be provided with many benefits such as a positive work environment and comprehensive training opportunities.
