Together, we create our culture by living our values in our day-to-day interactions with our patients and teammates.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <ul> <li>Directly involved in all aspects of patient care on a nursing level; assists healthcare providers and physicians with procedural needs as requested </li><li>Provides compassionate quality care to all patients. Promotes a team-oriented atmosphere and takes initiative in maintaining a tidy and safe clinical environment </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Under direct supervision of a Physician/NP administers medication, performs treatments and patient care responsibilities as prescribed </li><li>Responsible for patient triage, including all aspects of preliminary patient care (gathering vital signs, allergies, medications, etc.) </li><li>Performs venipunctures and injections (IM, SQ, ID) </li><li>Vaccine administration and record-keeping logs </li><li>Responsible for medical equipment upkeep: performs control checks as required on necessary equipment and maintains required logs </li><li>Performs laundry duties as well as any other cleaning duties to ensure a safe and sanity clinical environment. </li><li>Medication regulation (prior authorization, gathering of samples requested by provider, etc.) </li><li>Prepares exam rooms and ensures they are stocked appropriately </li><li>Pre-loading and abstraction of patient information prior to patient appointment </li><li>Scanning documents to the patient electronic chart </li><li>Proper patient electronic medical record maintenance </li><li>Works referrals and obtains authorizations as needed </li><li>Fields phone messages and promptly return calls (to patients, pharmacies, etc.) </li><li>Demonstrates excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Participates in orientation, instruction/training of new personnel </li><li>Additional duties as assigned </li><li>Follows provider and management directives as appropriate </li></ul> <p>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical condition </li><li>Basic computer knowledge </li><li>Able to organize tasks, develop action plans, set priorities and function in stressful situations </li><li>Ability to maintain a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments. Must have good and regular attendance </li><li>Must read, write, and speak fluent English </li><li>Approximate percent of time required to travel: Less than 1% </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Medical Assistant degree / Licensed Practical Nurse degree / RN degree preferred </li></ul> <p>License/Certification:</p> <ul> <li>Current TN LPN/RN licensure or be a registered or certified MA </li><li>BLS Certification required. De-escalation training is required. </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Completed externship in Family Practice environment or applicable specialty, 2+ years in a medical office environment desired, preferably in Family Practice or applicable specialty or other equivalent experience preferred but not required </li></ul>
