This position will maintain a schedule of program workload triggers and communicate appropriately in order to assist the Department Chair in decision-making and management of the Health Sciences program. Although this position reports to the Dean of Health Sciences, the day to day functions and priorities will come through both the Dean of Health Sciences and Department Chair. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Create and prepare documents and provide reports to the Dean of Health Sciences and Department Chair. Initiate processes that are part of the Health Science departments regular business cycle. Assist the Dean of Health Sciences and Department Chair in following up on deadlines for various tasks. Track program enrollments and informs Dean of Health Sciences and Department Chair of status. Assist with database updates for providing student and faculty accessibility in collaboration with other support staff. Assist, train, delegate and oversee work of part time staff including work study students assigned to the area. Perform ongoing Blackboard communication to all active nursing students and faculty to report pertinent program information (i.e. scholarship and externship programs, employment opportunities). Regular attendance on campus is required for this position.</p> <ul> <li>Other duties as assigned. Budgetary Support: Assist with the annual Operational Financial Planning process. Assist with purchasing capital budget materials and tracks purchases. Assist with purchasing lab supplies and department stipends. Provide budget-related background and research data to the Department Chair and assist with report preparation. Follow-up budget transaction requests on behalf of the Department Chair and department faculty. </li></ul> <p>Project Support: Perform general word processing support for department. Collect background information in relation to a variety of projects and initiates preliminary reports to assist the Dean of Health Sciences and Department Chairs in decision-making. Collect statistics and drafts reports (i.e., Annual Report, etc.) for external agencies, as well as internal documents (i.e. Program Assessment Reports). Perform quarterly website checks to ensure that all program information is accurate, clear and current and update as needed at the direction of the Dean of Health Sciences and Department Chair. Accreditation Support: Collects, maintains, and organizes data to support program accreditations and approvals. Assists with planning and writing self-studies and annual reports to achieve and maintain program accreditations. Organizes and schedules site visits by external accrediting agencies.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:· High School Diploma or GED, and two (2) years relevant work experience and fifteen (15) credit hours in related coursework OR the equivalent combination of education and work experience.· Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.· Computer experience that reflects some analytical skill and ability to understand how systems interface, including proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet skills (i.e., Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Publisher, Google products including Google docs, forms).· Demonstrated ability to organize workflow and anticipate program requirements.· Demonstrated ability to appropriately handle confidential information.· Self-motivation and the ability to take initiative when appropriate.· Task-oriented and excellence in working with detailed information.· Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work responsibilities, both independently and in a team environment.· Interest in working in a busy department with highly motivated faculty and staff.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications: Additional Preferred Qualifications:· Related administrative/clerical experience in a hospital setting.· Knowledge of healthcare terminology.Related experience working in a higher educational setting.</p> <p>Posting Date: 03/04/2026</p> <p>Closing Date: 03/11/2026</p> <p>Open Until Filled No</p> <p>Special Instructions to Applicants: Please complete all sections of the application and submit required documents.
