Our site, Albéa Shelbyville is specialized in Laminate Tubes for Oral, Cosmetic & Pharmaceutical Markets.</p> <p>Scope</p> <p>To keep production line operating according to Production, Quality, EHS, Spoilage, Efficiency and Customer Standards</p> <p>Main activities</p> <ul> <li>Review specifications and monitor production of tubes to ensure compliance with customer requirements </li><li>Monitor operation of production equipment to ensure efficiency </li><li>Maintain a clean and orderly work area </li><li>Troubleshoot equipment and make routine repairs and adjustments when necessary to maintain quality and production </li><li>Maintain safe operating standards </li><li>Visually inspect tubes for defects (routine quality checks) and before packaging perform routine quality checks </li><li>Notify production mechanic, supervisor and auditor of defects found </li><li>Transfer tubes from production line to boxes/pallets </li><li>Apply packaging labels as required </li><li>Report quality and packing issues to supervision </li><li>Perform routine trouble-shooting on auto packer </li><li>Make boxes as required </li><li>In feed cartons into auto packer </li><li>Clear jams and start/stop auto packer as required </li><li>Supply components to the line </li><li>Keep area and equipment neat and organized as per a 5S environment </li><li>Adhere to all company policies and procedures </li><li>Other duties as required </li></ul> <p>Accountability including KPIs</p> <ul> <li>Ensure to handle product in a safely manner and ensure that product is produced in accordance to product specification to prevent excessive scrap. </li><li>Conduct changeovers in a timely manner. </li><li>Ensure to maintain equipment running in a efficient and safe manner in order to meet scheduled production output. </li></ul> <p>Profile (Experience & qualifications)</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED </li><li>Previous production experience desired </li><li>Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through work experience or vocational training </li><li>Basic math skills and knowledge of data collection methods </li><li>Good communications skills, verbal and written </li><li>Ability to work overtime or non-regular hours as necessary </li><li>Willingness to adhere to Company safety rules and requirements </li><li>Ability to work well within a Team Environment </li><li>Manual Dexterity, ability to maintain brisk pace of production </li></ul>
